🩺 Health Check-Ups

Screening packages from basic to whole-body, with reports in 24–48 hours.

What is actually available

  • Tiered packages — basic (blood panel, ECG, chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasound) through comprehensive (adding tumour markers, bone density, endoscopy) to VIP (whole-body MRI, PET-CT, cardiac CT).
  • Reports in 24–48 hours for most items, with an English translation.
  • A doctor to explain the results — not just a printout. This is the part most people actually value.
  • Combined trips — many patients pair a check-up with dental work or a few days of recovery travel.
⚖
What we will not tell you
  • A tumour marker is not a cancer test. Markers produce false positives for benign reasons and false negatives in real disease. If a package sells you a marker panel as “cancer screening”, treat that as a warning sign.
  • Whole-body MRI finds things that do not matter. Incidental findings lead to anxiety and further tests. For most people a targeted package is better than the biggest one.
  • We will not tell you a check-up replaces seeing a doctor about a symptom you already have. If something is wrong, you need a diagnostic pathway, not a screening package.

How long you would need to stay

  • The check-up itself: one morning, fasting from the night before.
  • Report: most results the same day; imaging reports within 24–48 hours.
  • Doctor review: same day or next morning.
  • Minimum useful stay: 3–4 days, including arrival and the results consultation.

What we need from you to get a real answer

  • Your age and sex — package content is age- and sex-specific
  • Any symptoms you currently have, however minor
  • Family history of note (cardiac, cancer, diabetes)
  • Whether you take medication, and whether you have any implants or metal in your body (relevant for MRI)
  • Whether you need the report for a specific purpose — immigration, employment or a visa medical, for example

Tell us your age, sex and any symptoms. We will come back with the package we would actually choose for you — which is often smaller and cheaper than the one you would have picked.

Questions patients ask

Should I book the biggest package available?

Usually not. Larger packages find more incidental findings, and incidental findings generate anxiety, follow-up scans and occasionally procedures for something that would never have caused a symptom. The package that helps you is the one matched to your age, sex, symptoms and family history. Tell us those four things and we will recommend the smaller, better-targeted option, which is often cheaper than the one you would have chosen. If you already have a symptom, you need a diagnostic pathway rather than a screening package — those are different things and conflating them wastes both time and money.

Are tumour markers a cancer test?

No, and treating them as one is the most common misunderstanding in health screening. Tumour markers can be elevated for entirely benign reasons — inflammation, benign growths, even recent exercise — and can be perfectly normal in the presence of real disease. They are useful for monitoring a known condition over time, not for ruling cancer in or out in a healthy person. If a package is sold to you as cancer screening on the strength of a marker panel, treat that as a warning sign about the seller rather than reassurance about your health.

Will the report be accepted by my doctor or for a visa medical?

Reports are issued in Chinese with an English translation, and most doctors abroad can work from that, particularly with the imaging on disc alongside it. If you need the report for a specific purpose — immigration, employment, a visa medical or an insurance underwriting — tell us before you book, because the required tests, the wording and the certification differ by purpose and cannot always be added afterwards. Getting this wrong means repeating the whole check-up, so it is worth five minutes of your time up front.
