🦷 Dental Implants & Restorative Dentistry
Implants, crowns and full-arch restoration, planned across two trips.
What is actually available
- Single implants — assessment, extraction if needed, and implant placement on trip one; crown fitted on trip two after healing.
- Full-arch restoration — a fixed prosthesis supported by multiple implants, for a full arch. This is a different clinical procedure from a single implant and is priced separately.
- Crowns and bridges — zirconia and lithium-disilicate (E.max) options.
- Bone grafting and sinus lifting where the bone is insufficient — this is a common reason a quote from abroad turns out to be incomplete.
- We will not quote you a final price from a photograph. Implant cost depends on bone volume, which needs a CT scan.
- We will not claim you will save a specific percentage. Do the arithmetic yourself: the saving is real but flights and lodging come out of it, and we would rather you saw the net number.
- Not every case can be done in two short trips. Some need grafting and a longer healing interval.

How long you would need to stay
- Trip one: 5–7 days — assessment, any extraction, implant placement.
- Healing interval: 3–6 months at home, with no clinic visits needed.
- Trip two: 3–5 days — crown or prosthesis fitted.
- Some cases allow same-day or immediate-load implants. The specialist decides after reviewing your imaging.
What we need from you to get a real answer
- A recent dental CT / CBCT if you have one — this is the single most useful item
- Panoramic X-ray (OPG) if no CT is available
- Photographs of the teeth in question
- Any existing treatment plan or quote you have been given
- Whether you have had previous implants, and whether any have failed
Send your CT or OPG and we will get a named implant plan and cost in writing — including whether you need grafting, which is where most overseas quotes quietly grow.
Questions patients ask
Why does the cost vary so much between quotes?
Because the quote usually reflects a different clinical plan, not a different price for the same thing. The biggest variables are bone volume — which needs a CT to assess, not a photograph — whether grafting or a sinus lift is required, the implant system used, and whether the crown is included. A cheap quote that omits grafting is not a cheaper quote; it is an incomplete one, and the difference typically surfaces after you arrive. Send us your CT or panoramic X-ray and we will get a named plan and cost in writing that states what is and is not included.
Can the whole thing be done in one trip?
Sometimes, but less often than people hope. A standard implant needs two visits: five to seven days in Chengdu for assessment, any extraction and implant placement, then a healing interval at home of three to six months while the implant integrates with the bone, then three to five days for the crown. Some cases allow same-day or immediate-load implants, and the specialist decides that after reviewing your imaging. If a clinic promises a full implant and crown in one short trip without seeing a CT, ask them how they are managing the healing period.
What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home?
This is the question worth asking any dental provider abroad. Before you leave you should have written details of the implant system and lot numbers, a copy of your imaging, and a clear statement of what the clinic will do if the implant fails — including whether a revision is covered and for how long. Your own dentist at home needs the operative record to manage anything that arises, so insist on it in English. We obtain that documentation for you and translate it. We do not promise that nothing will go wrong, because nobody honestly can.
